Itinerary

Agadir to Zagora Camel ride and night in a Desert camp
This part of the route is organized around Agadir to Zagora Camel ride and night in a Desert camp. Begin your Sahara desert tour from Agadir, your private desert specialist. We leave Agadir at 7:30 am, crossing the Souss plain and the small Anti Atlas towns of Taliouine, Taznakht and Agdz, with lunch on the way. From there, we follow the Draa Valley — Morocco's largest palm grove — to Zagora, the little desert village famous for its "52 days to Timbuktu" camel signpost. From there we drive south to Tamegroute to visit the pottery cooperative, the artisan exhibition, the underground kasbah and the Koranic library, before riding camels into the dunes for a stunning sunset. Dinner and overnight in a Berber tent.
Zagora Camel Ride to Draa Valley to Marrakech to Agadir
The Zagora Camel Ride to Draa Valley to Marrakech to Agadir stage keeps the route moving at the planned pace. We rise early to watch the desert sunrise, then ride the camels back to Zagora for breakfast. After breakfast we drive north towards Ouarzazate and the Atlas Mountains and visit the kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a local guide. From there, we cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass, continue to Marrakech for a short medina visit and finally transfer you back to Agadir, where you are dropped off at your accommodation.
